There is no specific age range for attending The Robin Centre – we aim to change people’s lives no matter how old they are.
We currently have members aged 18 to 47 years old, and support people with mild learning disabilities through to serious autism. With a good track record of being able to meet the needs of individuals who have found day services difficult before, we tailor what we do at our adult day centre provide the best learning plan for every member.
No Individual Development Plan would work, were it not completely unique. Once our members have been introduced to The Robin Centre, we’ll already be getting to know one another – and laying the foundations for an effective learning programme.
From here, the team will work with the member, and their support network, to detail certain goals and ambitions they want to achieve. And with these simple plans agreed, we can then agree on the sort of vocational skills that will be developed, and relevant educational courses that can be taken.
And, once integrated with our calendar of exciting activities, the Individual Development Plan will become part of the everyday fun of life at The Robin Centre!
For more information on Individual Development Plans, please visit our Care Management Process page – here.
While always fun, our activities are also always purposeful. We aim to boost everyday life skills, and develop vocational skills too, amongst all of our members.
The Robin Centre has five different zones, each one providing a different kind of environment for learning and socialising.
Funding is usually available for members by contacting Middlesbrough County Council, who will liaise with us in turn.
All member's receive a scrapbook, which they update daily, to record their unique journey of learning and achievement.
Every aspect of our service is completely tailored to the requirements of a specific member, we focus on providing dedicated support to achieve the best possible learning outcomes for all of our members.
